Whenever I try and compile a dll with functions (seems simple enough) I always
get the same error: 

cannot find symbol <functionname>
can't find function <functionname> in symbol list

I've tried everything. I've looked at the samples hundreds of times to no
avail. I've added WINAPI or CALLBACK to my functions. Nothing I do seems to
make any difference. Can anyone give me any help, because I'm at my wit's end.
