It's not a bug, it's a feature.  Make requires every command to begin
with a TAB.  Changing that would not be easy, since the Makefile
reader is complicated enough already to the point of being
unreadable.

Last time this issue was raised, there were even some long-time DJGPP
users who protested against such a change, IIRC.
