Unless you use either a very old computer with about 2KB of RAM it should work
faster. :) Or your source is so big that it really take days. :) Well, since
your source wasn't attached I can't tell. 

If you compile this program:

#include <stdio.h>

int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
   printf("test\n");

   return(0);
}

it should compile in less than a second.
