Which other extenders do you mean? All extenders usually do lot of things
before the application interrupt handler is called.

I've used it for serial IRQ handler running at 115kb/s without loosing
any characters (although I enable FIFO). So to say it' very slow is rather
unfair. The wrapper simply eases writing interrupt handlers safely.
