I would certainly do, but I need to be sure what exactly is the bottom
line here.

Are you saying that to work around the 32MB limitation of EMM386 all
you need to do is to use the NOEMS parameter?

Or are you telling that NOVCPI has to be used as well (in DOS 6 and
later)?

If the latter, then disabling VCPI has some disadvantages, and I'm not
sure if they apply to this case.  For example, if you use NOVCPI and
shell out of a DJGPP program, how much extended memory do non-DJGPP
program see?
