I was recently having problems with the dir.h function fnsplit().. it wasn't
outputing the long filenames correctly, if the filename was "A_LONG_FILE.EXT"
it would give me "A_LONG_FILE" as the filename, and "LE" and the extension. I
later realized that it is the buffer that is the problem. I changed it to this
to better suit my LFN needs:

#define MAXPATH   512
#define MAXDRIVE  3
#define MAXDIR	  250
#define MAXFILE   250
#define MAXEXT	  9

but why was it so small before?

#define MAXPATH   80
#define MAXDRIVE  3
#define MAXDIR	  66
#define MAXFILE   9
#define MAXEXT	  5

Just curious..
