I don't have such problem with GRX-2.3 with ATI 3D Charger that also uses
MACH 64 (although I'm not trying to use it simultanously with Allegro).
Also Win95 is not problem here except that after task switching screen is
messed up (in app that uses GRX). Only my suggestion is to use in GRX VESA 
driver if possible (for me it is the default). MACH64 driver does not work for 
me as expected

Unfortunatelly all docs to GRX are very outdated. Example programs are 
included in GRX archive (directory test)
