I am trying to find a way to hide a directory or file using c or c++.
For example if I hide c:\mydir,  mydir would not show up on any
programs open options. Or if I typed in dir at the dos prompt mydir
would not show up.  

I would also like to know how to reinstate access to the file or dir I
hide i.e allow c:\mydir to show up if I type dir at the dos prompt.  

Where can I find info about this kind of thing?
