I did try Vesa2.0 it told me vbe2 is not available or something like that.
Vesa1 works. But it was the same as letting it autodetect, ie still
flickery.

I do have the latest drivers installed for my graphics card. I just don't
understand it, I don't have problems with commercial games, or win98 display
in general.

The card is a Creative labs graphic blaster ma202, it has 2megs on board. Is
this card just crap? What is a good video card, I don't really need 3d.
