Anybody operating with BASH as a shell and no command.com, please advise me--

I have a good configuration where I can work DGJPP and just about any other
DOS
application I have tried under BASH as a shell without command.com--thanks
to help
from Martin Stromberg.

go32-v2 shows
DPMI memory available: 8363 Kb
DPMI swap space available: 129317 Kb

XMS and EMS memory available is good.

What looks low to me is the free conventional memory--it is 517 Kb.

Is this anything to worry about? I see no problems yet.

I can free up 3 Kb by setting stacks=0,0 but nowadays they say we need
9,256 so
I've had it that way since I got on the Internet.

If anybody using BASH as a shell without command.com has higher conv. mem than
this and has any tips I'd appreciate your comments. Or maybe I have nothing
to fear
(I'm not going to run any flight simulators or anything like that)--I just
want to work with
a UNIX simulation and program in C and test my work and go as far as I can
with the
UNIX way with a 486.

Thanks,

Ralph
