Did you try the DJGPP FAQ list (v2/faq210b.zip from the same place you 
get DJGPP)?  It is not specifically about porting, but there's some 
advice there about that, too.

DJGPP's library is very compatible with Borland.  If you have specific 
problems, and you cannot find the answers neither in the FAQ nor in the 
library reference, please ask specific questions here.

Use argv[0].  _argv[0] is a non-portable Borland-ism.
