The C++ libraries are in lgp*b.zip; fetch and install the one that
corresponds to your GCC version.  Also, 2.7.2.1 doesn't exhibit that
problem.  However, 2.7.2.1 is not the latest version anymore.  2.8.1
(which does have the problem for which you already know the fix) is, and
it's probably worth getting.  You should uninstall 2.7.2.1 completely if
you decide to upgrade, and READ the documentation in gnu/gcc-2.81/.
