Subject: lgpp280b.zip incomplete?
Reply-to: peter DOT mcleod AT prophecy-open DOT com DOT au

Using the zip-picker at www.delorie.com/djgpp/zip-picker.cgi, I was
provided with my first set of files to DJGPP - I chose everything but
emacs. However, I don't believe these did expand into all the files I
need. Shouldn't I have gotten the file lib/libiostr.a from the libraries
zip (lgpp280b.zip)?

To prevent an (undefined reference to 'cout') problem, I took the
advice from a much earlier mail to this list - that is, this liostr
appendage:

gcc test.cc -otest.exe -liostr

That didn't work because I was missing the library! Eventually I
found this library in a zip to an earlier version (lgp271b.zip) - and
all was well. In extracting this zip , I accepted all 'missing' files
and replaced nothing that was already there. Do I now have the
correct environment? - It seems so to me but I don't know enough
about it to say for sure.

Kind regards as always,
