Your subject and the body seem to talk about different issues.  If you 
want the memory installed on your motherboard, then somebody else already 
answered that.  But if you want to know how much physical memory is free 
from a running program, then the DJGPP FAQ list explains that in section 
15.2.  The FAQ is available as v2/faq210b.zip from the same place you get 
DJGPP.
