Did you try the advice in section 6.4 of the DJGPP FAQ list (regarding 
bumping up the stack of cc1 and cc1plus, and enlarging the heap size of 
CWSDPMI)?  If not, please do that and see if it helps.

This is *wrong*: you should NEVER set DJDIR directly.  (But it has 
nothing to do with your problem, I think.)
