Does go32-v2.exe run okay?  If so, please tell what does it print.

Did you try to run "gcc -v"?  If not, please try and tell if it prints 
anything at all.

Sometimes people get trouble because they have incompatible cpp.exe 
somewhere on their PATH.  Please put the DJGPP's bin directory before 
everything else on your PATH and see if that helps.

Most people have no problems getting GCC to work on Windows 95.  It just 
works out of the box.  I don't think I ever heard a report about gcc 
hanging and wedging the entire machine.
