It seesm you are wrong there. We are using this pragma and compile on HPUX,
AIX and Windows 32 bit with the same sorce basis. We encapsulated the pragma
with #ifdef GCC and it works quite fine with all thre compilers. On the unix
platforms we use gcc and under Windows we use Visual C++ so it works. Why
should it not?
