Subject: Rabies among mice
Message-ID: <9848B65067@fs2.mt.umist.ac.uk>

  I have just switched to Windows 95. I have run into these mouse effects:-
  In Windows applications, OK.
  In Gnu C++ (v2) programs:-
    If I run the program from Shutdown, Restart in DOS mode, the mouse behaves
OK, including for the mouse interrupt handler that you sent to me.
    If I run the program from the Start->Programs menu tree, when mouse events
happen the computer sometimes obeys them OK for the program and sometimes
behaves unpredictably, sometimes even quitting the program the first time my
hand accidentally touches the edge of the mouse. This is a great nuisance. How
can I prevent this? Who else has had this nuisance?
     I thought at first that it because the mouse driver was one that came
with an Anubis mouse; this driver caused trouble once before some time ago. So
I renamed the .COM file with it in and told Windows 95 to re-initialize the
handler for the mouse. But the effect continues.
    What is people's experience in running a mouse in 3-button mode in Windows
95?
