hi !

You have to read the VBE documentation. You can see, how much memory is
installed in the VESA MODE INFO BLOCK. (4f01)

I would recommend to support VBE 2.0 for faster performance.
Most of the computers can be fast with VBE 1.2. But eg. unger win95 you
will get very big slow down by banking video memory.

I have VESA doc at home. i will send it ta ya.(probably :) )
