    what I compiled was a pretty nifty slakware-linux source distribution of
unzip52 and zip21. I compiled both WIN32 and MSDOS versions with djgpp,
makefiles
are already there. There is also vim-4.6 sources from the same distribution
which
compile with gcc (djgpp). There may be some others.. I have not looked at all 
of them.
 
 I'm fairly sure there isn't any problem with using something like WinZip.
