I believe it will if you use Binutils 2.8+. But be aware that the compiler,
as it is, knows nothing about the MMX facilities, so you can't, for
instance, tell it to load some value into an MMX register for you. You must
do it explicitly.

Somebody posted some info a while back about a patch to let GCC generate MMX
code, and I presume also use them with inline assembly. Check the archives.
