hello,

sorry if this slightly off-topic here, but EVERY time i try to run a
shell script with bash 1.14.7(1) under Win 95 (the DJGPP port for DOS),
i get this error message saying

Can't make pipes for command substitution!

        Exiting due to signal SIGSEGV

also if i try to use pipes myself (such as piping the output of
something through to _more_), i get the following error message.

pipe error: No such file or directory (ENOENT)

does anyone have any idea what the cause might be??? i do apologise if
this isn't the place this question should have been posted. do be kind
enough to redirect me if this is the case. a search through the DJGPP
archives yielded nothing. i DID notice the errors only when trying to
run a UNIX script to configure a makefile for a somewhat large-ish body
of C source... but i appreciate that there might have been a more
suitable place to ask this... only i can't think of any!

thanks in advance,

        sunil.
