He could also take a look at "MAPPY" in the addons section of the ALLEGRO
homepage ( http://www.talula.demon.co.uk/allegro )
Meanwhile, when you finally get off your lazy ass, could you be so
kind of letting me know, too. I'm writing a tile based game too, but I'd
like to see how you do it.
