If the programs which crash are yours, not the demo ones which come with 
Allegro, then the most probable cause for these crashes is that there are 
bugs in those programs.

The DJGPP FAQ list (v2/faq210b.zip from the same place you get DJGPP) 
explains in section 9.2 how to convert the traceback with those ``cryptic 
numbers'' into a file name and a line number where you should look for 
the bug(s).
