This isn't a DJGPP-related question; why ask here?

AFAIK, to run an application under a Unixy system involves a lot more
than just chmod'ing it.  Make sure you compiled with the proper options
to generate an executable.  Make sure that there isn't anything wrong
with your PATH.  Make sure.... oh heck, just go ask on a Linux
newsgroup.  :-)  Here are two that might be appropriate:

news:comp.os.linux.development.apps
news:comp.os.linux.misc
