You can make them (Cygwin32 and DJGPP, that is, not Delorie) coexist
peacefully on your system.
The trick is to not set the environments for either in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT, but set them with separate batch files, e.g.,
C:\DJGPP\BIN\DJVARS.BAT and
C:\Cygnus\b19\H-i386-cygwin32\bin\cygvars.bat.
You can create two icons on your desktop with command lines
"C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\COMMAND.COM /k C:\DJGPP\BIN\DJVARS.BAT" and
"C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\COMMAND.COM /k
C:\Cygnus\b19\H-i386-cygwin32\bin\cygvars.bat" respectively.
The /k switch runs the batch file and stays in the DOS box. (The /c
switch on the other hand runs the batch file and exits the DOS box.)
If the things that you want to do can be done by both compilers, then I
would suggest DJGPP for DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95/98 and Cygwin32 for
NT.
