  Hello.

  My problem: every time I execute a certain ./configure script,
I get the following:

----------------------- quote --------------------
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for sh... no
checking for bash... no
checking for zsh... no
checking for ksh... no
oops - no usable shell for make or me! Configure is exiting.
---------------- unquote -------------------------

 My question: given that I have a standard djgpp-v2 setup,
what is it that prevents this script from finding the things
it is looking for?

  Here is the environment:

----------------- quote ------------------------
COMSPEC=C:\COMMAND.COM
DJGPP=e:\djgpp-v2\djgpp.env
HOME=E:\Hiemat
LESS=-QiC
LFN=y
LMOUSE=C:\lmouse-7.1
LYNX_CFG=E:\lynx_w32\lynx.cfg
PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;E:\DJGPP-V2\BIN;
            D:\KERMIT;E:\PGP;E:\VIM-4.6\BIN;E:\LYNX_W32;
            E:\JDK11~1.4\BIN;C:\INFOZIP.W32;D:\UTILS
PGPPATH=E:\pgp
PROMPT=$e[1;31m[win95]$e[33m$p$g$e[0m
TEMP=E:\junk
TMP=E:\junk
TMPDIR=E:\junk
TZ=PST8PDT
VIM=E:\vim-4.6
winbootdir=C:\WINDOWS
windir=C:\WINDOWS
----------------- unquote ----------------------

  At this point what I am most interested in knowing is what _should_
work.

  For anyone who wants to take a crack at it, the configure script I am
trying to get to work will normally be found in

ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/devel/lang/compiler_tools/precc-2.44.tgz

  Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.
