what i have wanted is a GUI object that allows one to edit 
in a "textbox".  that is, like d_edit_proc, but with multiple,
scrollable lines.
i am not asking anybody to write one, just asking if somebody has 
already done it.
i mean, i only need *one* editable textbox.
