Options->Directories->Objects menu command lets you designate the
directory for compiled objects.

The executable/library (target of make or build) appears to be placed in
the directory in which the project file is located; changing RHide's
notion of a current directory doesn't not seem to alter its location.

As far as "outputting" source, when you create a "New" source, you can use
the Save As command to go to any directory you want on any drive to which
you have access to save the source file. When you make the source part of
your project list (in the Project window), RHide automatically adds the
directory path containing any source file which becomes part of the
project to the list of directory pathnames it uses to search for the
location of the filename. You can manually adjust this list of directory
pathnames for searching sources through Options->Directories->Sources. I
am speaking about RHide 1.4 (30 Sep 97) version.
