 For excellent C and C++ tutorials try http://www.swcp.com/~dodrill/index.html  I
used the C tutorial and it is very good.  It comes complete with source file
examples all of which compile with DJGPP.  I wouldn´t recomend the "The C
Programming Language" if you are starting out read the Tutorial first and then get
the book.
