This reply solved my own queery and I thought I might add to it a little
cos surely I'm not alone in missing the SPECS file editing.

The docs clearly point out the rsxntdj\lib\SPEC file must be altered if
you install RSXNTDJ into a different directory structure than the one
described, however some of us not so experienced have missed the
importance of the DRIVE (in this case f:) because we are used to the %
symbol being used in place of the hard coding.

ANYWAY, in case others have misplaced the drive lettering, here is the
detail.

In the SPECS. file appears the following:-

*asm:

*asm_final:

*cpp:
%{posix:-D_POSIX_SOURCE} %{Zmt: -D__MT__} %{Zdll: -D__DLL__} %{Zcrtdll*:-
D__CRTRSXNT__}\
%{Zwin32: -D__WIN32__ -D__RSXNT__ -D__EMX__ -If:/rsxntdj/include}
                                            ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
*cc1:

*cc1plus:

*endfile:

*link:
%{Zwin32: -Lf:/rsxntdj/lib/all}
          ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I mistook the "-If" to represent (IF) and never considered (dumbly) the
"f" was the drive label.

Clearly it is and just as clearly I felt a goose, however the facts
remain I battled for days with the installation when the answer was
there in front of me..

My new SPECS. file has the "f" replaced with a "d" and rsxntdj is
running smoothly...

A public THANKYOU to all involved in this project and may the gods bless
you with great riches...

(OH! Well, Lifes like that Sumtimes) Regards Ron T Lewis
