I use the old DJGPP (v2.7.x) and it works fine.  Just remember this.
Before making any changes, back up the files that will be most likely 
overwritten, like the lD.EXE and DJGPP.ENV.  Once you've made changes 
(and to your AUTOXEC.BAT as advised in RSX/NT's help), re-boot, run 
the sample programs, and see what happens!
