The same thing kept happening to me.

(1) Make sure you have the latest offical DJGPP FAQ (at least January
1997)

(2) Read the section: Topic Index / internal compiler error, which
mentions at least two things you can do regarding CWSDPMI, and also
stubedit'ing cc1plus.exe to get a bigger stack.

If you address both those issues your problem should go away...

I might mention that I had a 12 meg machine and I had lots of problems
getting rid of "internal compiler error".  If, for example, you set
the stack size to be too big, then Gcc fails to have enough ram for
other important stuff so it decides to give up anyway.

I went out and brought a 64 meg machine to try and eliminate these
problems...
