Okay, I'm having problems debugging some nasm code. I got it to compile fine,
but (of course) it doesn't quite work right and so I thought, ah this is no
problem because I have RHIDE! Well! :-) I put a breakpoint right at the point
where my asm code gets called. When it gets there, I press F7 to single-step
into it, but I get SIGABRT, Program Aborted! What's worse than this, is
seeing my code nicely laid out in RHIDE's disassembler window (in AT&T
syntax, albeit, but then what did I seriously expect? :-) Well Ok I hoped it
would read in from my .asm file) exactly in the entry point, with labels and
such! Well this isn't bad, it's just that if it weren't for that evil SIGABRT
I would be in business. And I get even stranger things, such as floating
point error and such! What do I need to do? I have the most recent NASM, I
think, and it appears that debug info is turned out. Has anybody else had
luck debugging like sthis?
