But it's all in the docs!  Why do you ask others to look it up in your
place?  Type "info libc alpha", find these functions in the list and
read their descriptions.

The only thing that is NOT documented is that first and the last of
these functions are actually the same (the latter is #define'd to be
the former, see <dpmi.h>).  But the documentation describes both of
these correctly.
