Subject: GCC 2.8.0 for DJGPP

Hi all,

This post should be only an infomration and I do not
expect replies, because I haven't the time to answer.
(see below)

I'm woking currently very hard on a DJGPP port of gcc 2.8.0
and libg++ 2.8.0. It is in most parts complete but it will
take still some time before releasing it.

If someone of you have ever made GNU port for DJGPP so you
will understand me (I hope so). The main part of doing such
a port is not the real building of that program(s). As an
example, I had already a working gcc 2.8.0 after about
a week after releasing gcc 2.8.0. The main difficulties
are in making a clean distribution which will work on as
most as possible other configurations than the porters
one.

So, that's from me to that topic and I hope that all the
question about the date of the DJGPP port of gcc 2.8.0
will go away and you can wait until I will upload the
zips to DJ or of course you are free to do the same job
in a shorter time than I :-)

Robert
