But it's not mirroring. His zip file is different from Bram's. He 
recompiled, for one thing, as he said in a part of his announcement that 
I didn't quote.

I agree with you on the utility of mirrors (though I've had no trouble 
downloading from Bram's server), but that's not what we're talking about 
here.
