As just an addition to the viewpoints already presented 
you might consider the question: how much do I have to know
about windows pagetables to use windows 95 ??

I hardly doubt more then 10 % of current MCSE-ers( the so called
windows 95 experts) even know windows use some. 

But they wear a tie!
