It's just a matter of disk space.  Each account is allotted only 5 Megs, to be
used for everything from web pages to ftp space to binary executables, so I
guard the space jealously.  

Anyway, since I wanted flexibility in the first place, and since I now know
that vi is on every UNIX system, I might as well just learn a little vi.  The
frowny emoticon was a bit of an exaggeration!
