If you are using the grabber utility wich comes with Allegro, it's easy.
You don't have to save the palette, just the PCX-file. Then you run grabber
and "New...palette". Now you just grab the palette the same way you
grab bitmaps:
1. read bitmap  (read the bitmap where you want to grab the pallete from)
2. grab pallete to the palette that you've created
