Linux has a kernel memcpy() which uses the FPU registers -- but it ONLY
works on Pentiums/PPro's/P-II's. It's purported to make the kernel up to
30% faster. Since memcpy() isn't OS-dependent as long as you're in
protected mode, I think you could use that.
