Windows NT is not well known for it backwards-compatibility to DOS.

I remember reading that NT 3.x cannot spawn DPMI processes.  I don't
know about NT 4 though, it may work there.  I have also heard of a
real-mode compiler that work under NT, but I can't remember the location
of where to find it.  Maybe someone else will enlighten you.
