Hello,

I want to add some basic windowing function to some failry simple
text mode programs.
I am used to ncurses.. I like ncurses..(its come a long way)
but when I looked at the pdc22.zip binary from the djgpp site...
I have an EGA monitor, I don't know if that caused the problem or not
but a lot of the tests (the window and the scrolling window)
were all broken up on the screen.

So.... why not use turbo vision as I have seen many talking about.
I got the rhide source... I got the tv.zip from borlands site
(following instructions in rhide-1.4/tv2_src)

It looks like it will take a bit of work to get the patches integrated
into the tv.zip.
I have to download all the shell-utils and fileutils and etc.
Download the gdb(old version) source and then fire off the makefile.
Maybe by examining the makefile I can find the/a shortcut way to do it..
but .. I am still running on a 386dx40.
Is it worth it ?
Could I just use the tv sources as they come from borland ?
Is there any reason why I would want to use the patches from rhide ?

Are there other simple GUI packages (text-mode-ish) that come with full
source that I could consider ?

Thanks for any feedback.
