allegro.h lives in the base of the allegro tree, like
c:\allegro\allegro.h, why not use a file finder??

Where does the "make" finish, before it starts??
Near the end?? Do you have C++ installed??
Try posting the exact error message, for all we know it could be that
you had coffee instead of tea. ;)

The allegro\obj\djgpp\ is where make is storing all the files it makes,
allegro\lib\djgpp\ is where the final liballeg.a file goes.
