The next pgcc snapshot will be based off of the egcs 0821 snapshot.  I lost
my hard drive, so have to rebuild/reinstall everything to get it built
again.

It shouldn't.  What snapshot of pgcc did you try, what switches did you
try, and what 
architecture are you running the programs on (P5, PPro, PII, K6, ...). 
Some earlier snapshots had
definite problems, but the last one is stable and quick.
