Let me put the lie to this once and for all.  Data General computers have
used GCC & G++ as their official system compilers for several years.
There are other hardware manufacturers that also pay for FSF to support
their platforms also.  So any commercial software developed for these
platforms has been compiled with a "FREE" compiler, this includes software
from Informix, Oracle, Sybase, Applix, Symantec, Computer Associates, etc.
