Under DOS? YES, ask it to idSoftware (Quake is a djgpp program).

I don't understand you DMA is possible under djgpp!

DMA with graphics? you are messing terms. DMA is made by the motherboard. You
mean access to the video memory directly. That's possible under djgpp and
Allegro makes that of course.
