I am a newbie and take my questions and opinions as such...
Somebody please help me.
I used to learn C++ and Pascal using Borland IDEs in college a while
ago. And I remeber being able to code something and just pressing
Ctrl+F9 to run it, without the need to create .exe and the like.
I just downloaded DJGPP and RHIDE and the works. I had a hard time
installing the darn thing. Partly my fault for not being able to
understand instructions the first time through. Now I have downloaded
everything, they seem to be set up correctly. And just compiled HELLO.C,
had to compile and create an .exe file to test it. An 83kb file came out
of it.
Now my question is: Is the CTRL+F9 feature disabled totally? Or am I
just doing something wrong?
My setup:
486
win95 dos-box
the dev***.zip
bnu27b.zip
gcc2721b.zip
lgp271b.zip
gpp2721b.zip
rhide13b.zip
And also: if you guys can point me to any page with free C/C++
tutorials? (I'm cheap:)
Thanks.
Khayu.
