that means you are probably doing something wrong. not the right way.
incorrectly. hmmm. any more synonyms?

and you gave us no actual code to correct your elementary programming
mistakes? you expect people to try to figure out what you mean by:

side effect? decide what you want to do, write your program to do that,
and that only, and then give people some information so they can help
