Hello,
I'm trying to write a small program that should read from a physical
address.

I have found some functions in the DMPI support of djgpp to do this.
see http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/doc/libc-2.01/

However I need to get my program to run in Protected mode to be able to
use these function. How can one get a program to run in protected mode.

I would like to use c-functions _NOT_ assambly.

Some more info:
I'm using a pc 486 running msdos 6.20
The DPMI server is qdpmi from qemm, dpmi version 0.9.

Thankful for any help and if I forgot to tell some important info plaese
mail me and ask.

Sincerly
